FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
Once you’ve selected your preferred artist(s), you can either stop by the shop, call us or send a detailed email with a description of the design, some photo reference, and your preferred dates to schedule.
HOW MUCH DOES A TATTOO COST?
It depends on the artist. Final price is dependent on size, detail of the design, location on the body where it will be placed, and finally which artist you’ve chosen. Some artists have a minimum billing, which varies.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO?
We recommend that you eat well before you come in, and remember to stay hydrated. If you start to feel woozy, have a soda. Sugar is your friend in this situation. It’s best not to party the night before because alcohol can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours.
HOW CAN I GET A PRICE QUOTE?
The best way to get an accurate price range is by booking a (free!) consultation with the artist – if not in person, then through a brief detailed email.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY NEW TATTOO?
Do not pick or scratch at your new tattoo, this will slow the healing time and you may pull the ink out, also it may lead to secondary infections.
Do not wear tight clothing over the tattoo, or clothing that has been washed in harsh detergents.
During the healing period your tattoo will form a scab and peel off, it may also not be as bright as it was, also avoid swimming or soaking the tattoo for the first two weeks. You may wash the tattoo daily in the shower. Definitely do not expose the tattoo to the sun for the first two weeks. Your tattoo will always look brighter if you avoid having them exposed to the sun’s harmful UV rays. If you must go in the sun apply a total sunblock, only after the tattoo has healed.
Do not let anyone touch the tattoo while it’s healing. Apply cream 2 to 3 times a day for the first 2 weeks. Keep up the aftercare for at least this period. If you have any cream left, it wouldn’t hurt to keep applying as normal, even if your tattoo appears fully healed.
If you have any concerns do not hesitate to call the studio with your queries, sooner than later.
